Naturopathic Support During and After Breast Cancer

In this brief lecture you will learn about the many ways that Naturopathic Medicine (and Chinese Medicine) can support you during and after treatment.  Find out how to best support yourself before and after surgery, during chemotherapy, with Endocrine & Immunotherapies.  Dr. MacDonald will also review a few strategies toward prevention of recurrence.  Due to the broad topic specific herbs and supplements will be reviewed briefly during each section so bring questions for more specifics.

Dr. Barb brings a unique perspective to your health issues, including degrees in naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal therapy. She has extensive experience with Qi Gong, CranioSacral Therapy, Esoteric healing, SomatoEmotional Release, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, as well as conventional and functional lab tests, applied kinesiology, pulse and tongue diagnosis.
 

As the author of “The Breast Cancer Companion: A Complementary Care Manual,” Dr. Barb is regarded as an expert in the field of complementary cancer care. She is a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Medicine.
 

Since 2010, she has practiced in midcoast Maine using classical naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, CranioSacral Therapy, etc. for patients with a variety of health issues from insomnia to Cancer, IBS to chronic fatigue, menopause, pain, brain fog, etc.. She practiced in a primary care, menopause options, and cancer care setting from 1997-2009 at A Woman’s Time in Portland, Oregon.

She and her husband are happy to raise their son in the healthy and supportive environment of coastal Maine.
